PromptOps Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 27, 2026

PromptOps is built and operated by RiteUpAI ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains how the PromptOps iOS app handles your data.

The short version

We do not collect anything. PromptOps runs entirely on your device. There is no PromptOps backend server, no account system, no analytics, no tracking, and no telemetry. We have no way to see your prompts, your API keys, or any content you create with the app.

What PromptOps stores on your device

The following information is stored locally in iOS-managed storage and is never sent to us:

  • Prompts, templates, evaluations, executions, datasets, and tags — stored using Apple's SwiftData framework
  • API keys for AI providers — stored in the iOS Keychain
  • Provider configurations and sync settings — stored locally

When you uninstall PromptOps, all of this data is removed by iOS along with the app.

When PromptOps connects to other services

PromptOps connects to the internet only when you take an action that explicitly requires it.

AI provider APIs

When you execute a prompt, your device sends the prompt directly to the AI provider you chose, using the API key you configured. RiteUpAI is not a party to that request and your prompts never pass through our servers.

These providers have their own privacy policies, which apply to the data they receive:

If you configure a custom OpenAI-compatible provider, that provider's privacy policy applies to data you send to it.

GitHub sync (optional)

If you enable GitHub sync, the app uses a personal access token you provide to push and pull data to a repository you control. RiteUpAI does not see this data. GitHub's privacy policy applies — https://docs.github.com/en/site-policy/privacy-policies/github-general-privacy-statement

iCloud sync (optional)

If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your own iCloud Drive. Apple's iCloud privacy policy applies — https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/

Apple-provided telemetry

We do not use Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework because PromptOps does not track. Apple may share aggregated, anonymized App Store metrics with us as it does with all developers; this data does not identify individual users.

Children

PromptOps is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the "Last updated" date above and post the new version at this URL.
